Submission Guidelines

Mizo Journal: International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research

We welcome original and high-quality academic submissions from a wide range of disciplines. Authors are encouraged to carefully follow the submission instructions to ensure smooth review and publication.

1. Eligibility and Scope

  • Submissions are accepted from individual scholars, research teams, students, and independent researchers.

  • Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publication outlet.

  • We accept research articles, review essays, concept papers, field reports, and book reviews related to any academic discipline—particularly those relevant to Mizo communities, Indigenous studies, and multidisciplinary approaches.

2. Types of Submissions

Type Word Count Description
Original Article 4,000–8,000 words Research-based paper with clear methodology and findings
Review Article 3,000–6,000 words Analytical synthesis of existing literature on a topic
Short Communication / Commentary 1,500–3,000 words Brief focused insights, case studies, or field updates
Book Review 1,000–2,000 words Critical review of relevant academic books
Student Paper 3,000–5,000 words Research papers by undergraduate/postgraduate students (must include supervisor endorsement)*

*Note: Student papers must be accompanied by a declaration of originality and supervisor recommendation.

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Language: English or Mizo (Roman script). Submissions in other languages may be considered with translations.

  • File Format: Submit as a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) file.

  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced, 1-inch margins.

  • Citation Style: Use Chicago Author-Date style for all references.

  • Title Page must include:

    • Title of the paper

    • Author(s) name, institutional affiliation, and email address

    • Abstract (150–250 words)

    • 4–6 Keywords

4. Submission Process

  • Submit your manuscript  to https://www.mizojournal.com/submit/

  • Include a short cover letter with a declaration that the work is original and not under consideration elsewhere.

5. Editorial Review and Decision

  • All submissions are reviewed by the Editorial Board for quality, clarity, relevance, and academic rigor.

  • The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

  • Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit based on editorial feedback.

  • Final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

6. Ethical Guidelines

Authors must adhere to ethical research and publishing practices:

  • Proper citation of all sources

  • No plagiarism or data manipulation

  • Authorship must reflect actual contribution

  • Any conflicts of interest must be declared

7. Publication and Access

  • Accepted articles are published online and open access, under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.

  • No article processing charges (APCs) are currently levied.
